It is a process of slowly but surely improving your website to work better and better each passing day, to make its content more exciting and engaging and to make it attractive to visitors and search engine alike.

The most essential component of off page SEO consists of link building, linking your pages together through keywords and management of presence on social media.
What is SEM?
SEM stands for search engine marketing. It is a proven way to grow a business in a very competitive marketplace. It is essential to advertise online, and there are hundreds of websites out there jostling for the same eyeballs. Search Engine Marketing is the process of making your product visible in the crowd and grows your sales through online marketing of your website. SEM works by increasing website traffic through paid advertisements o search engines. In more straightforward language, SEM is called “paid search.” Most of them are sold on a pay per click / PPC model or cost per click / CPC model or cost per thousand impressions / CPM model. The platform most usually associated with SEM is Google Ads (formerly Google Adwords).
Why they are different?
The fundamental objective of both SEO and SEM is to drive traffic to your website and improve online marketing of your website. Whereas SEO is aimed at growing traffic in an organic manner, SEM is growing it by spending. Is SEO more important or SEM? Most would argue that both are important and that SEO lays the foundation for SEM. Without high-quality home page, web pages, optimized content no amount of SEM will be able to sustain or grow web traffic. Of course, if your website is brand new how do you do organic SEO? In that case, a sustained PPC campaign to generate initial traffic followed by a long-term SEO plan pays dividends. Whereas SEO focuses on high-quality content which is relevant and engaging, SEM involves analyzing the sites of top competitors and finding out what they are doing to improve SEO.
SEO and SEM are not competing for strategies, but they complement each other. A good SEO strategy and a whole thought out SEM strategy should work in tandem to influence search engine performance. When employed optimally SEO and SEM fill each other’s gap and bolster each other up. Both are equally needed for greater visibility of a website.
